Sweet stuffed dates wrapped in crispy beef bacon, air-fried for perfect texture and balanced flavors.

# Ingredient List:

→ Dates

01 - 16 large Medjool dates, pitted

→ Filling

02 - 16 whole unsalted almonds (or substitute with walnuts or goat cheese, optional)

→ Bacon

03 - 8 slices beef bacon, halved crosswise

→ Optional Garnish

04 - 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
05 - 1 tablespoon honey, for drizzling

# How to Make:

01 - Carefully make a lengthwise slit in each date and remove the pit if not already pitted.
02 - Insert one almond (or walnut or small spoonful of goat cheese) into the center of each date, then gently close the date around the filling.
03 - Wrap each stuffed date with a half slice of beef bacon, securing with a toothpick if needed.
04 - Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
05 - Arrange the wrapped dates in a single layer in the air fryer basket, seam side down.
06 - Air fry for 8–10 minutes, turning halfway through, until the bacon is crispy and browned.
07 - Remove dates and let cool for 2 minutes. Optionally, drizzle with honey and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The way crispy salty beef bacon contrasts with naturally sweet dates is something you have to taste to believe
  • These come together in under 30 minutes but look like something from a fancy restaurant menu
02 -
  • Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket or the bacon will steam instead of crisp. Work in batches if needed.
  • The difference between good and great is turning them halfway through. Even crisping is worth that extra 30 seconds.
03 -
  • Pat the bacon dry with paper towels before wrapping to get that restaurant-quality crisp
  • If dates feel too dry give them a 10-second steam in the microwave before stuffing
